Super fun, yet simple. Good controls and perfectly crafted 32 bit platform adventure

A bit too faithful of a remake, there's rough edges in gameplay all over.
The game could use a proper shadow for platforming, the fixed camera and the angled lighting led to a lot of depth perception issues.
A couple bosses are extremely tedious, and often gameplay revolves around walking past a locked door, finding a piece of fruit, and backtracking to the door to get the item, then retracing forwards again.
Some collisions are awkward too, and invisble walls are occasionally in weird places. There's enough extra lives to be keep powering through, but the game is the same as it was in the 90s: a less interesting version of Crash Bandicoot.
this is a great remake from the original
